I created Math Quest to change the way young students experience math. What began as a passion project to support my local elementary school has evolved into a Cleveland-wide initiative that brings thousands of students together each year to celebrate problem-solving, teamwork, and curiosity.

Math Quest Journey

2023-2024

Launched the Hilltop Math Quest at my district’s elementary school. Wrote original team-based tests, coordinated with teachers, graded submissions, and provided prizes (300+ students per event).

2024-2025

Expanded to 5+ schools in the Cleveland area with 2,000+ participants per competition. Introduced a girls-only round to encourage young girls in STEM.

2025 (Fall)

Hosted a multi-round Math Quest competition and festival at John Carroll University, bringing students from across Northeast Ohio together for a full day of math challenges and activities (100+ students, 60+ MathQuest4Girls participants).

Future

Math Quest will continue to empower young problem solvers to see themselves as capable mathematicians and leaders in STEM. We aim to continue expanding our impact across Northeast Ohio.
